Hah, the Lair Alliance is weak. Their attempt at fighting the Bone Crushing Alliance is futile. Join the LairAlliance at your own risk.

The BCA took over a key LairAlliance stronghold. NO CASUALTIES were suffered, however one ship was lost. That ship has already been rebuilt, and the key LairAlliance stronghold is now in possession of the BCA.
Remember, join the LairAlliance at your own risk. We have already shown our strength in taking over one of the LairAlliance's key bases. Do not be fooled by their propoganda.
You have been warned.

I don't know if I'm doing good or bad.
The vlaues for doing things like makign a base and how often your turns incrase etc isn't exactly into sace. Some minor things would take months to save up for, for allot of players.

Sounds like you need to upgrade your Hull. This allows bigger trades and therefore more credits per trade. Also, try to trade between Ore and Goods, this will give you the best profit.
It really should not take long to be able to build a base. I would sugguest however to put your money into your ship until a base seems very little to you to purchase.
The game is set to take a turn every 6 minutes. The system updates ports and other things at the same time it gives players a turn.

I only started playing about 4 hours ago.
Thanks for the advice.
I've got myself a planet and 2 colonists. Off to read that FAQ now.
Can I get the colonists to mine for me and stuff?

The FAQ will describe a couple was to play the game, but yes you can have the colonists mine for you. They also have babies ( naughty little people :D ) and make credits ... :king:
Question: Planets- I can't find any uninhabited ones, so does that mean I'll haveta buy a Genesis thingie?

There are tons of planets avalible still, if you look around a little you'll find one. Or you can use a genisis device.

Best option is to buy a genesis device.. it is better though it costs a lot for newbies!!
What would you consider 'New'?
This is only my second day of really playing the game, and I bought one.
But I know what you mean...

Lets just say my hull is level 19 already, and thats even after I had to start over after dying ;) I had an escape pod, so i kept my planets, but i lost all my points/ship. Thats why im not in first anymore *mutter*.
Hull level 12-15 would probably be considered not "new" anymore.
DANG! I'm still a Newbie then!
 If only I managed to find a planet, and not have to buy that Genesis Missile...
