If you had a choice between making your own computer game or writing your own book, which would you choose and what would your game or story be about?:head: :D

not a Gran Turismo like Game I hope :wtf: anyway I'd make a game and in it the main character would be an ex cop who got framed for murder and your objective in the game is to get even with the bad guys who set you up, the main character would have a vast range of elite weaponary ofcourse :tounge:

Yeah, I'd probably make a game. Because this is what my friends and I talk a lot about, making really good game ideas. So, even if my game sucked a lot and nobody played it, at least I'd like it, and have a game made by me.

However, if the question were about my career, I wouldn't know what to choose. Perhaps people can do both?

I would write a horror novel with something along the lines of an psycho proclaiming he is the angel of death going around killing those who tormented him growing up.

I would prefer to write a book but if I did a game it would be Baldur's Gate-ish in style.

I'd either make an insanely complex RPG along the lines of Morrowind, or a FPS like Unreal or Halo.

I could do another 80's themed game with violence, and awesome music/visuals. It'd have to be pretty gory and sexual to sell if there's violence.. so something along the lines of.. "New Kids on the Block: Territorial dispute!" (Wonders why she can't space out her paragraphs.. O_o) It'd have features, such as.. = The ability to control, through first person, each member of NKotB, with assorted medeval weaponry and loads of guns.. = Atari graphics, and some dangly emotions = Ability to kill, maul, and rape animals.. = Realistic 80's automobiles, and a bonus stage featuring a semi-recognizable Ronald Reagan. = Bonus stages galore; Pong, Autograph Day, and Movie clips (Reagan stole into this deal..) = The ability to roam around Las Vegas in tight jeans with a greasy head. ...I think it'd sell.

Hmmm, if I could write a book or design a game, the following is true (at least about books, not sure about games) :

I would prefer it to write not a whole story myself, but to follow a guideline. Maybe that makes me some incompetent, but when I write, I can never come up with endings. I think it would be more fun to write part of a series. For example, take my favorite book series: Magic the Gathering. There are a whole bunch of different trilogies about different characters in different timelines. They hardly connect at all. However, something tells me that a structure is supplied to the authors, unless, of course, they read all of the other's books.

Same with video games, I think I'd rather create part of a series (Sonic, Zelda, FF, etc.) , with complex tales, but still have space to make it my own.

I just had a thought. If I were to make a game, I'd try to make it like FF9, the most truly inspirational game I've played. However, unless I were to steal ideas, it wouldn't be anywhere as good.

well.. some friends and I put together every aspect of a turn based, naval combat game, onto my computer. It's a completely solid game. It works on paper. But I'm lacking man power in the designer, and programmer fields to put it to it's full potential. Any takers? please?!:cry:
