Kingdom Hearts PS2

Please help. I am in Traverse Town. I believe I have done all there is to do here, yet when I go to the Gummi Ship the only location is Traverse Town. I only found 6 postcards here, I have bought a bunch of stuff and saw Merlin, what am I missing? Do I have a bad disk (it is rented).

Thanx, I have used many walkthroughs and still can't seem to get out of Traverse Town. It said something about a clock stuck at 6 something, but I can't find that.

I am such a dunce. When I got to the Gummi Ship map, I didn't see another world listed, just two planets with question marks on them. I tried all the buttons, EXCEPT the left analog stick to highlight them.

How can I get glide? or hight jump? I feel like I need them to do more things....
