Stuck on the Getaway

I'm stuck on the mission where you have to locate the BT van and then drive to the police station and find the evidence room, i've found the evidence room but when i get out all the cops just kill me and i don't know where to go next. I went on Gamefaqs but they were no help.

The tip is to stay in the evidence room and let the cops come to you.
Aim manually and get everyone with headshots. rest in the evidence room untill your at full health and head round the corner. When you go down stairs SWAT will appear. Get them in the head and their MP5s should make this level a lot easyer!

Oh btw the boss off this level is McCormack and hes a bugger to kill so use the MP5s on him.
