I've heard something about add-on discs for XBox games, what is it all about? And what will they do? And when do they come out?

Only thing I have heard si this from Gamespot.
'Tomonobu Itagaki, DOA series creator and Team Ninja Leader, confirmed in a recent interview with Japanese Dreamcast Magazine that the extra features from the Japanese version of Dead or Alive 3 will be available to US customers in an add-on disc for DOA3.
When asked about the Xbox's built-in online capabilities and the hardrive, Itagaki said: "Well, remember when I said earlier "I'm not going to do anything to make the US gamers disappointed" about the Japanese version changes to DOA3? That has something to do with the question your asking. So again, to US gamers, don't worry about the changes to the Japanese version and US gamers should feel very safe when they purchase the game on November 8th."
Now a representative for the North American arm of Tecmo confirmed their plans to give North American consumers the chance to update their US DOA 3 game to the extra features from the Japanese version. The representative said that a more detailed announcement is coming soon.'

Well, basically you can think of anything talking about X-box, as it's just a PC in another housing......
It would be a nice idea to make/use odd-on discs, although they'll probably be quite expensive compared to what the actually add (like a patch for a game.......)
Well, I haven't heard much about this, but since I'm not too interested in X-box that's not too weird.....

Talking about the PC-thing, I want to say some more:
You can upgrade the X-box in any way you can upgrade your PC: memory, modem, just all of it (as I heard.....)
I think that rules as with other consoles, after all, it'll be a crappy thing. But X-box will still be the best graphical console.
PS2 will get this part a bit too, you know, a keyboard and mouse, a hard-drive, a monitor......I like that.
btw, Pearlman, plz don't *spam* like that k?

Well Nemesis, no offence, but if you'd actaully read the whole thread+replies, you'd notice Pearlyam saying
"Thanks for the clarification."
in one post, now if that ain't spam, I don't know what is......(of course I do.....like posts with only 1 word or only a smiley, but that reply is quite useless)
mind........
