halo pc

so i got halo pc and installed and everything. but when i try to play it says "my vid card is under minimum recommended specs ie: geforce/radeon" and gives me the option to play anyway or play in safe mode. if i click either of these, the screen flickers and then comes back to my desktop, with no halo action going ever, not even the halo start screen menu or w/e. do i need a new vid card or is my game defective? i think teh game should work, my friend played with it and it works fine but he's got a crazy radeon 9700 card. i am on a 15 dollar ati rage 128 pro (yes i know, dint upgrade yet). get a new card? or can i fix thsi?

How juvenile, Pegapussy that is.:rolleyes: The game is not bad, the people who cheat are bad but they could very well say the people who don't cheat are stupid for tearing their hair out and/or throwing their controller every which-way when they could be having a much easier time by using cheats. And he didn't ask for a freekin' lecture by the way.:wtf:

also, if you'v completed the game then theres nothing wrong with cheating to truly mess around

Tell me how many playing this for first tme? What, 1, 2 at most. The main thing the PC version is would be online, not single player.

On Monday I received this game quite excitedly I might add having seen all the reviews and heard people bleating on about how great it is.

After two hours of playing I was left thinking is this it, its a first person shooter and not a bad one at that but considering this game is supposed to be the reason to buy an xbox I think its very average.

One major thing that pisses me off is the ****ing check point system this would be such a bad system if it wasn’t the only possible way to save and the wasn’t one every two meters. I don’t know about people with top end machines but for me this also involves considerable slow down while the game loads the next part.

In my opinion nothing this game does has been done before just as well or better for example the vehicles are just as good if not better in red faction 1&2. One last thing is the story; ok the story isn’t all that bad but I’ve seen much better elsewhere.

Now there maybe loads of halo fans out there that would flame me for being a fan boy or whatever but Imo halo isn’t a bad game it’s just not that great.

the checkpoint system is for saving the game and if you get killed. the slowdown is because the levels are split into differant zones, becuase the levels are pretty big it can't load the whole lot into the computers memory at once, so it's split into differant zones. it's exactly the same in the x-box version

also, i dunno about you but i think the library sucks, it's gotta be one of the most repetetive(sp?) levels i'v ever played :wtf:

ok well if you guys didnt like halo on Xbox why would you buy the PC version? seriously. Anyways... I think it's a quality game. Mouse-look makes the sniper rifle and the pistol a brand new threat.

The Pistol was alreyad probley the best weapon aside from Sniper Rifle or ROcket Launcher. That thing is way to powerful.
