Does anyone have the announced date for its release?
There is no set date beside 2004 right now, unless you liek the TBA dates.

its quite....erm....strange... I dont like the idea of eating animals...
Your being shot at and when your injured, he pulls out a large fish and eats it...

OO0ooOooaaaooh! Sorry, but i am really looking forward to this! Did the immature first line give it away or what...!
Man this game looks really cool and from what I have seen I'm really glad they have decided to take it away from the settings of the past two games and put it in the jungle...
I heard that hideo-kojima did not want to make another solid snake game himself and was letting someone else do it as he wanted to work on other things..but that has not come true:head: oh well I for one am not complaining, this game looks great:D

May 2004 for PAL, I don't mind the idea of eating animals it's a new idea and Hideo Kojima is full of em'.
I agree the jungle setting is a good place to set it there's a lot of stealth to be had around the jungle.

it doesnt matter, bacause the best of all metal gear solid games is comeing bak, come on now, i have a ps2 and i realy think the first metal gear was the best,it has a gud storyline and isbeing re-released on the almighty gamecube, and it will make the ps2 versions look verry crappy indeed, whith there petty ps2 graphics!

Umm... the first metal gear was actually on the Nes/Snes? Anyhow if you look at the screenshots to MGS3 and MGS:TTS you'll see MGS3 is looking far more impressive.
While SiliconKnights (developers of MGS:TTS) are good they can't match Konami. Plus MGS3 is new and original that carry on the story instead of repeating.

u see tho, many nintendo fans missed the ps1 one ( i had the original, but i meant on the playstation) i missed out on it (i had a ps1 but i soon forgot about it after buying mario kart 64)so nintendo have thought this through.also it has an improved storyline, and i thought sutch a storyline could not be improved!i dunno,at the moment im gonna opt for the classic than the new one.

Yes it's good idea for the people that only had a N64 shivers (that's like a nightmare).
Let's just hope it lives up to the hype as it's gotter by very good for beat the original remakes rarely do.

It won't it's being developed by Silicon Knights (from Blood Omen fame) and there partly owned by Nintendo.

MGS3 will indeed let you hunt and eat animals, as you may have gathered from the previous footage. Further, Snake will develop likes and dislikes over the course of the game, and having him eat his favorite foods will yield extra benefits. In fact, much of the gameplay revolves around surviving in the wild, and the hunting will be just one component of this.
