Entering cheat codes and prince of persia

I got a playstation for xmas and have no idea how to enter cheat codes could someone help me. Also i am totally stuck on prince of persia. I am in a pool of water and i cant get out.

I dunno what cheat codes your refering to, most cheat codes are a combination of button pushes that are done at a specific time in the game. The cheat provider should tell you how and when to use them. If however your talking about "cheat codes" i.e a list of numbers and letters like 8002ED 3456 then you need an action reply cartridge to use these. I strongly suggest you don't bye an action reply cartridge because they suck badly. If you want a cheat cart get an Xplorer one instead.

Now on to Prine Of Persia. Your description is kinda weak but I think I know where you are. First go up the steps and get that woman to stand on the switch thats under water. This will open one of three doors to your left. Now go up to the statue on the left and push it towards the switch on the wall, this opens the second of the three doors. The third switch is a time active switch and opens the third door. Once you push it you have 20 seconds to get through all threes doors. To push it simply run up the wall.

Once you have passed through the three doors and pulled the switch return to the main chamber. You will see that the water where you came in has disappeared. Look along the walls on each side of the main chamber, see those bars you have to traverse along them to get to the switches. To get up to them you have to run up the wall (the water originally prevented you from doing this).

Once you have pulled both switches push the moveable block down the door that opened. You now have to return back through those swinging log traps to the room you came from. The block has now made it possible for you to reach a ladder that was previously unaccessable.
