max payne help

Does anyone know how to beat the last part of the game where max is on the top and the helicopter is about to take off and you only have a few seconds to do something?

Easy!! This is for the PC Version so it should be the same!!

You either already have a SNIPER RIFLE or there is one lying around in that area....

After you've got a SNIPER RIFLE look at the BIG WOBBLEY pillar in the middle coming off of the pillar should be some cables two or three.

With the SNIPER RIFLE look where the cables connect on the wall not the PILLAR but the WALL. and shoot the metal placks which are holding the cables to the wall after you shoot all the cables free which the ending!!

I was having trouble with this my first time too. What you do is after you go up those steps and you are on the roof it shows the little video of you shooting at that lady. After that it shows two of the lines bust. You have to shoot the one to the left of the door you came out of. You shoot the little metal thing holding it on, doesnt matter which gun but the m79, grenades, molitivs, will not work. After you shoot that first one off guys will come out to your left (be carefull one has a m79 others have colt commandos) Use the L trigger to dive in slo mo and blast them with something with rapid fire (ingrams, colt commado). After that one will drop a sniper rifle. Jump over the fence that runs into the wall that you need to get to the other side of. After you jump over that and your close to the edge of the roof shoot the last cable off and then aim up at the top of the tower in the center and shoot at it so it falls. If you dont shoot the tower the ending will be the same as if you run out of time. After you shoot it it will fall and the rest is history you win, gameover :).

On the blood trail you can immediately jump to your left when you come out the door and right away jump to your left again and you will be done...make sure you go forward also as you jump and steer your way to the trail....
