I was shocked to hear today that Diego Maradona is criticaly ill in hospital.

Whether you love or hate the man he is undoubtably one of the greatest football players of the modern age.

Some of my greatest child hood memories of football involve the antics or genius of 'El Diego'.

The world cup win against the english with the famous 'hand of god' incident just one of many memorable moments.Or the amaizing control he had on the ball in all his games.

I guess I just wanted to pay my respects to a legend (although hes not dead yet) and wish him well battling his ilness.

And give others a chance to reflect on the carreer of a great footballer.

I cant say i'm suprised he's in hospital, But i can say we was a true legend of the game. Even the most die hard england fans cant deny that, People with his tallent only come Every so often....a true Footballing god.

iv got no sympathy for him. will be unfortunate for football if he dies cos he was once a great footballer, but his poor health is his own fault due to his drug use...... hel hav no one else to blame but himself.....

No doubting his health issues are his own doing.
