The Arse have won 26 and drawn 12 this season to become the first top flight club to complete an unbeaten season since Preston North End in the first Football League season in 1888-89.
Thats over 100 years for you simple folk :thumb:
Preston only played 22 matches.
The Scum have never done it.
Arsenal must be the best of all time?
Wenger the best manager of all time?

Going unbeaten in the league dosn't win the FA Cup or the Champions league, so no they are not the best

They are the greatest after they win the treble (including a european cup) or maybe a quad, they are very good in the premiership but truly great teams do well in all the competitions.

and for the record, it was not an unbeaten season... its an unbeaten league campaign (one where they still fail to match utd's 91 points).... they lost plenty in the cups and in europe............

The best Arsenal side of all time, yes. The best english side of all time, probably. Going the full season unbeaten in the Premier League today is a much harder task than winning the Champions League, and back when other teams won it is was a hell of a lot easier - teams on average were far weaker back then :thumb:

best english side of all time? heck no....
until uv won the european cup/champions league, ul never be the best english side ever... that accoldaide goes to liverpool. followed by man utd, then followed by nottingham forest then aston villa...... uv played some beautiful football this year, but beautiful football is nothing without beatin the top sides.... yes uv done that this year in the league, which i might add is the poorest iv seen in years, but uv done nothing at all in europe. and thats where it counts. otherwise ur just another rangers.......... :thumb:

Because luck plays a massive part of winning the Champions League, especially now it's a knockout competition after the first group stage :D If anyone actually argues against that after Monaco and Deportivo have reached the final this year, they're pretty much retarded :D For the want of a nicer way of putting it, of course ;)
Finally proven ourselves as the best english team :D Going the full season unbeaten in the top league is the hardest thing to do in domestic football... especially now that there are 3 main challengers instead of 2 like in recent years - we've done it, so anyone that tries to argue past english teams are better are just bitter, or fans of a club who only have lesser achievements to boast about.
The english clubs that have won the Champions League in the past... did they go their full domestic season unbeaten? The record books say no... if they didn't achieve the ultimate in england, they can't seriously expect to be dubbed the best in europe by merit, either :D Again emphasising the fact that the Champions League is a luck based competition as much as anything. Just one off matches... consistant high standard isn't necessary to win the Champions League, but is to do what we've done this season :D
Done.

dont be soft.... ur a typical arsenal fan boastin and gloating about an achievment that while being good for the supporters of arsenal, is not as good, and doesnt mean as much to other fans, as the achievment of others. ie, the treble, winning in europe. if its so easy to win in europe, then why hav arsenal never done it? it cant be all down to luck and anyone who says it is, is either jealous of a team that has gone all the way and won it or is an imbecile......... uv gone unbeaten in a very poor league this year and hav had an incredible amount of luck and ref decisions. its a great achievment, but to compare it with other teams achievments is ludicrous.....

Or newcastle, obviously.
Anyways, I dont think
they are the best
Seaman,Dixon,Adams,Bould and Winterburn, with wright and bergkamp up front, now that was a good arsenal team

Thierry Henry added another honour to his growing list on Monday when he became the first player to be named England's Footballer of the Year in successive seasons.
Arsenal's French international striker scooped a remarkable 87 percent of the votes cast by the English Football Writers' Association.
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard came second with Henry's Arsenal and France team mate Patrick Vieira third. Henry's latest double was completed two weeks after he was voted Players' Player of the Year for the second successive season.
The striker has scored 37 goals this season, including 29 in the premier league, and has created countless others to inspire Arsenal to the title.
Id be happy with 37 goals :D
