England played rubbish? Nothing new there.
I do think England will do alot better in Euro 2004. Because, it was just a friendly and they most likley thought it would be a walk in the park anyways, and hardly tried... knowing The English
Thats what we English do. If its against a so called "rubbish" team or anything. We think we don't even need to try and then get our arse kicked :thumb:
First 30 minutes everything was going fine, it looked like we would win easily but it just stopped and they let japan get back into the game, after that we didnt look threatening or have much possesion, the only decent sub to come on was Owen Hargraves IMO, Dyer can be ok sometimes, Heskey is always useless except for maybe one game in 100.

gerrard is argueably the best english midfielder at the moment along with lampard but when mr burns plays him on the left wing.... *sigh*

didn't we draw 1-1 with them also in the run up to the last world cup? seem to remember we did pretty well there and was only knocked out by a fluke from a monkey so....

Cant see England beating France nor Croatia- and dat performance just tells you it all. Dont think Holland will match up to expectation either!

Germny put 5 nil on Malta.
Malta aint exactaly a footballing powerhouse but then neither is Japan.
I predict a Portugal/Germany final for Euro 2004.

England need to play basic 4-4-2
GK-James
DL-A.Cole
DR-Gary Neville
DC-Woodgate
DC-Campbell
ML-Dyer
MR-Beckham
MC-Gerrard
MC-Lampard
SC-Owen
SC-Rooney
With that gerrard and lampard could take turns to go forward, the other sitting back in a holding role, dyer and beckham maurading down the wings, with the pace of owen and dyer you cant go wrong, stable back 4 also.
