Yep, disappointing to say the least :( Could be worse, we could be Scotland :thumb:

I still think we'll go through by winning against Switzerland and Croatia in our other Group B games, but losing to France was un-****ing-believable :huh:

Winning 1-0 in the 91st minute, then fatboy Heskey conceeding a free kick which every englishman instantly knew would end up hitting the net :huh: But as for Gerrard, what the **** he was thinking doing a pass back from where he was with all those french players between him and our goal... you don't do that :wtf: Especially when one of them french players is Henry :wtf:

An invaluable 3 points wasted needlessly. Heskey didn't need to make a tackle, the french bloke was heading straight into 2 of our defenders. And Gerrard sure as hell didn't need to pass it to the keeper from there :huh: Should of just got rid of the ****er :wtf:

You guys did well in the WC but in that compition you get to play the minnows ,who did england beat to get into the quaters of the WC?

In Euro compititions their aint no week teams its all good strong match ups wich is the reason I prefer the Euro compittions more than the WC.

Pity public TV isnt showing Euro 2004 here :(

id like to take this opportuinity to thank the jocks for being so **** they cant be raped by a german referee in the euro championships. this being due to the fact that they are so **** that they cant beat the minions on qualification and get to the finals and be fcuked over by a foreign cnut of a german ref........ so fcuk u scottish wankers. ur all too fcukin **** to get put out in first round cos u aint there to start with......cos ur that sh:t to get there in the first place............

Yeah Rooney was one of the highlights, pretty fearless for one so young but i thought he was losing his temper a bit towards the end - he was lucky he got a warning for that semi-punch he threw i guess the swede got nervous about him getting a card?

think the only other game where i have seen a finish like that was the 99 european cup final, man utd and bayern munich, unreal, why he continually picks heskey is beyond me, he did nothing for liverpool last season and he has never done anything for england. as for gerrard, well that's just schoolboy errors really, infact it was that bad he should serve rio ferdinands 8 month ban for that. blame also has to lie at beckhams feet, he was way too casual with the penalty. also rooney is to blame really, ok he won the penalty but he had an easy lay off to the england player who was running in and i'm sure they would have scored but he chose to carry on greedily really. ledley king just seems to get better though, by far our best player and i hope he get's at least 1 more chance before we get knocked out.:)

apologies for my language fellas.. was well stressed last night.... but it is amusing to see scottish people takin the piss out of a nation that is actually in a major tournement..... so we lost to the french, as much as that hurts, we still hav the opportunity to go through. the swiss v croatia result was a good one for england.... so although we lost to the frogs, we are still in the tournament...... unlike the jocks...... whos laughing now.......

look on the plus side, rooney is only 18, 14 or so more years with him upfront for us hehe plus ledley king didnt put a foot wrong. as for gerrards mistake (not that i saw if first time round as i was duckign a flying bottle) he only passed it back because ashley cole shat himself and didnt move to the ball.

football is full of if onlys, the major if only for me lastnight was..... if only heskey was never born :)

bring on the swiss, they gonna get a whooping :)

oh..btw anyone notice the lack of the infamous diamond formation :) he played that formation for about 5 friendlies as he thought it was the tactic to beat the french with, yet when the time came, we played four four ****ing two :) (mike bassest rocks)

You see, man, everybody hates Heskey.. and, hell, he's one crap of a player indeed..

That penalty Beckham lost would probably have given England the victory.. anyways, defeat came at the cost of two individual mistakes, I guess..

My team here in the national championship was winning the game until the very end, when some brainless bloke did the same thing Heskey did, almost in the same place.. and they had someone who could masterfully deal with free kicks.. hell, can't players just surround the adversary and try something more intelligent..?

This game kinda reminded me of something that happened in 99 here, I guess.. the finals of some tournament involving our entire continent.. my team was winning by 3 to 1.. ten minutes to end the game.. we had an advantage of one player.. and we lost by 4 to 3.. well, I kinda spent some time swearing those lazy bums of my team..

Lampard was quoted as saying the french were singing victory songs in their dressing rooms, and said it was a bit unfair that they did that after the game.

At this statement Iw as laughing my head off.

I dont blame the ref's or our german managers, I blame scotland for being pish at nearly everything lol, At least the tartan army are the best fans in the world, something the english wont be challenging for anytime soon

As been said before, he didn't even need to stick his leg around. It was a stupid thing to do. If he never did that, I believe the game would have been ours.

Anyways. There is nothing wrong with losing to France, they are a good team :wtf:

I don't think exactly what happened last night has fully sunk in yet :huh: Too shocking to believe it happened :huh:

But nevermind, very few teams come that close to beating the best international team on the planet, especially with a 5th choice centre back playing. There was a performance us english can be pleased about from last night... the performance of Croatia and Switzerland :thumb: Needless to say both will raise their game just because it's England they're gonna play against, but they should still be pretty straight forward victories :)

Heskey's needless foul near the end was the turning point. But there are no excuses to get Gerrard off the hook. He wasn't in the game much at all, disappointing after the season he's had for Liverpool :huh:

Someone here saw Rooney's aggression in the second half as a bad point, for me we needed more players showing aggression like that. Our midfield gave the french all the time they needed, was no pressing going on at all from what I remember. We expect better from players like Gerrard, Beckham and Scholes :huh:

What they need is grit and determination, shearer, batty & pearce had it, now youve got models as footballers.

Owen & Beckham for instance, wouldnt tackle incase they got "injured", people that will put themselves on th line for their country thats what you gusy need.

People like rooney, that shake the oppostion up, thats what you need more of

Bottom line, the ball shouldn't of been passed back. If anyone **** themself, it was Gerrard. Any other point in the game he would never of tried what he did. That's the one thing he shouldn't of done, anywhere else and we were ending the game with a point, even off the pitch to give away a throw. He has admitted it was his error, so nobody else should have trouble admitting it, even Liverpool fans :D

But anyway, no shame in losing to France whatever the circumstances. Just a shame it happened the way it did :( Need to put that out of their heads and play well against the two **** teams in the group now.

I still think we'll go through, I still think we can win the whole thing if we do :thumb:

Sweden are a tough team ,I rate Henrick Larson(sp) as one of the best.

The guy scores screes of goals every year for Celtic but is snubbed for that footballer of the year thingy every year.

Is it because he only plays in the scottish league and that some how devalues his acheivements?

I feel for the english football team ,something has crept into thier football culture that has also weaseled its way into my own All Blacks team.

The tendancy to choke when the pressure is put on them.

yea, larsson played in a mickey mouse league so thats why hes never won anything of any note as a player. i always thought he would leave scotland and ply his trade elsewhere to prove himself against better opposition but he never did until now... and i think hes 32 now......
