What are some of the hardest bosses you've ever fought? My hardest(that I can think of right now) is the Carry Armor in FFVII, in te Underwater Reactor. I beat FFVII already, but I tend to rush through the story without training my guys, so I fought him, and he uses the Lapis Laser on me. Yuffie (who is actually surprisingly strong) is knocked dead. I quickly select Cure2 with Cloud. Cloud F-ing delays, and the Carry Armor nails Cid and Cloud with ANOTHER Lapis Laser. GAME OVER.

I'd call that a boss from Hell.

Also, Seymour Flux in Mt. Gagazet was a real challenge. He usually nailed my guys with Cross-slash.

P.S: I heard that the first three bosses in Ninja Gaiden are harder than an ass that was whooped by the first three bosses in Ninja Gaiden.

Actually, there's some irony in those fights and the Carry Armor fight. First of all, the first time I went through FFVII my friend beat the Carry Armor in like a minute. and the Ninja Gaiden fights are supposed to be won by using one attack...

Ruby and Emerald Weapon of FFVII fame, Sephiroth , KH version, and the secret boss of Sonic 3.

The egg in Saga Frointer 2 is suppose to be the hardest boss battle ever

Ozma from FFIX was pretty damn hard, I guess.. that Black Rabite fight in Seiken Densetsu 3 was rather silly as well.. Asura from Vagrant Story was a real pain the first time I fought it.. there's Omega from FFV too..

Oh, and every boss battle in The Legend of the Dragoon was hellish.. I just can't imagine a RPG that annoyed me more than this one.. when your main healing method is a 10% life-recovering defense command, even normal battles are meant to last forever..

SaGa Frontier 2, right..? Didn't have the chance to play this game yet.. I wonder if it's good..

That bowser ghost type thing at the end of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga was very, VERY difficult. A great boss though.

Let's see now....I remember this boss from FFIX. See, in FFIX, Vivi is a great character. One reason is because he has strong magic attacks. Litttle did I know, this one boss (found in the Lifa Tree) countered magic attacks, thus causing me a lot of hardship.

The funny thing is that as it turned out, a phoenix down would kill this boss! All of this trouble could have been avoided.

Ruby and Emerald Weapon of FFVII fame, Sephiroth , KH version, and the secret boss of Sonic 3.

Ruby and Emmy were easy as **** at level 99 with KoTR-HP Absorb and Mime.

The ones I had to deal with were, and these are in no particular order:
1. The Mr X-turned-Tyrant creature from Resident Evil 2
2. Lost Number from Final Fantasy 7
3. Phantom Ganon from Ocarina of Time
4. The Executioner from Extermination
5. Final Bowser from Super Mario 64
6. Metriod Prime from...ah you know.

Dude! Spoilers!

3. Phantom Ganon from Ocarina of Time

You think that was tough? Wasn't it true that if you stood on any of the Triforce symbols around the room, you couldn't get hurt by him? Still, that hitting back the ball of energy is fun, if you ask me.

Yeah, that was true. What was tough about him was hitting the ball of energy back at him.

Ok lest go way back to the old skool Atari... the old Donkey Kong game I can never past those last 2 levels (damn barrels). Another boss would be Sephiroth from FF.

QuizMaster

Yeah, that was true. What was tough about him was hitting the ball of energy back at him.

Actually, now that you mention it, Phantom Ganon from Oot probably gives you the hardest time with that ball tactic.

Well, unless you're playing with people with terrible timing in Four Swords. In this one battle, the villain will toss the ball at one player, who hits it to another play, who hits it to another.......until all four people hit it to the boss.

Even though the order stayed the same, that took us a while. The player who hit it to me always threw it at my back.

advance wars final battle. the first time. rest of the time it's easy.

Nope, nothings really that hard. Except the final battle in Boktai. Even with sabata's help it's hell.

Ohhh yeah, you mean with the *trying not to say too much* three? Yeah, it is really based on which...three you get.

err, WHAT?

the final battle against Sturm lets you control 3 characters, yes.

But still, WHAT?

QuizMaster

Fine, as long as we aren't going to be sensitive to people who haven't finished the game, I might as well be more clear.

Aye, you get to control three COs, which makes this battle very interesting. However, it all depends on which three COs you get.

Geez, did you not get all of that?

Popcynical

I dont know how people say Sephiroth was a hard boss... one hit from KotR kills him!

who would not have finished that game yet?
and I thought you just got the same ones over and over etc., besides, I've unlocked all CO's.

One of these:

Final battle on advance wars 2 on advanced mode
emperor faust from legend of dragoon
or
ruby and emerald weapons on final fantasy VII

You were able to beat the final battle on advanced mode? A salute to Sman!

And dang, I've just lost again some moments ago..

advance wars is awesome, but i beat it on hard mode, and i beat all the war rooms. Who'd ya use Sman?
boss from hell, fire leo or the omnipotent king blue from viewtiful joe. metroid prime was pretty tough, not impossible though, especially if u have lots of life tank thingys
MINOR SPOILER
and of course the *very last* boss in fire emblem. there are only 5 people that can hit him and those hits do 10 damage and he has a lot more hp than that

QuizMaster
08-06-2004, 11:38 PM
Hoo boy, you said it. Viewtiful Joe has some brutal boss battles....especially when you have to battle these tough bosses consecutively without saving.

meleemario
08-07-2004, 12:46 AM
yeah and on ultra v rated u cant even see where the attacks are coming from! u have to like listen to what sound they make or watch closely in slow time, oy!
i take back what i said about fire emblem being hard, i just lost by a lot the first time but the second time i beat it pretty easily. when bosses don't attack you, only counterattack it can't get too hard...

Gods, why couldn't the karts control like the ones in Mario Kart?!

Curse those DKR bosses. I have still yet to beat Wizpig. And those silver coin challenges were brutal.

thegloaming
08-18-2004, 04:50 PM
Indeed they were. And I spent some time trying to unlock T.T. as well...

Oh, any boss battle from Legend of the Dragoon. Perhaps I just couldn't get along with that battle system, but I normally spent a lot of time in each boss. The battles weren't that difficult, but were silly as hell, with all that need for defensive stances so that I could recover a bit of HP...

some of the gyms in pokemon sapphire can be really hard if ur not ready for them
