What do the little green and red blips beside you name mean? Do other people rate you on how helpful your comments are or is it just based on how many posts you have?

People rate you based on your posts, red is bad, green is good. :)

The more posts you have determines the more impact your giving of reputation will have on the user.

Daily Reputation Clicks Limit
How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? Administrators are exempt from this limit.

Reputation User Spread
How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? Administrators are exempt from this limit.


these are some of the options from the admin screen.. so if you have higher reputation you also get more power to modify someone elses reputation.
that's a cool system.

well, phatbowser.. you can always 'catch up' with good rating ;) it's never to late
just post with good arguments and when you even agree with someone try to type more than just: I agree.

Not necessarily. If you disagree with ppl and can give some sort of logical reason to back it up, you won't get bad rep. However if your arguments have absolutely no sense and are nowhere near grounded in reality, people prolly won't like you.
