Multi-region

Hello,
I've ordered an X-BOX from America, and recieved it a week or so ago and have searched loads of sites for some info, but they seem to give different answers to my question. Im wondering if the X-BOX will play games from all over the world (any region) no matter where I bought it from. Help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance

Like wise I've getting a PAL X-Box and it would absolutely wonderful if it turned out to play NTSC games as well (not very likely) :(
