Some b**ger has got hold of my Visa card details and has been having a field day ordering things over the internet, or over the phone.
I only order things over the net with that card, so there presumably must be a site that says it is secure, but isn't, cos I always check to make sure they say they are secure.
I HATE THIEVES.
Bad luck mate. Really.
Just cancel everything they order.
Or better yet, cancel the card. :wtf:

Thanks Loop.
In fact the card has been cancelled and my bank has issued me with a new one. In fact I'm really impressed with the bank (must be a first!) as they actually spotted the fraud before I did! The first I knew about it was them phoning me and asking if all these transactions, mainly American companies, were anything to do with me, cos on a couple of occasions the wrong expiry date was given. They've assured me they have taken all these fraudulent transactions off, and I won't be charged, thank God, but it could have been a lot worse.
Its just all the hassle of going to all the web sites I use and changing my details to the new card. I've pre-ordered FFX online, and just imagine if I'd forgotten to tell the company about the change - no game come launch day
Also not knowing where they got the number from in the first place. What's to stop it happening again?
Ah well, these things are sent to try us, I guess. :upto:

Bastards. Some people would steal the spit off the pavement if they thought it had a use.
I've been lucky so far, made several internet purchases, no problems so far.
Basically it's a security problem the card issuers are still trying to address, but it may require higher technology than a signature and a magnetic strip.........

I think they are going to have to come up with something sooner or later, because online shopping is definitely the way forward. It's not going to go away now, and in time more and more people will be using it.
However, there will always be bastards who will take advantage...
