So when did it become legal here? the rules here used to be so much stricter and much for the better imo, now days its hard to find anything decent from the mounds of crap here, you only have to look in the general entertainment forum to see what I mean anyway when did GG become spam friendly?

yeh and if you close every topic then people just stay away, if it's a new member then it's worse cause they don't come back. i understand what you are saying but it's hard to find where to draw the line, so as not to piss everybody off.

About the time I got that lecture.
The 'now playing thread' is a perfect demonstration in General Entertainment.

But at least it's traditional. Unless it's not being used for its purpose - Not looked in for ages.

TBH I havnt noticed much spam latly everything seems to be relatively on topic.
And film/music related game threads have ALWAYS been allowed in the GE forum.
Its not some recent development.
Although the 'this or that' one is pretty iffy.
It's not realy entertainment related and it is kinda spamy.
EDIT:
Infact ive closed it.

Well, you could always have a Forum Games forums for those forum games like: What Song Are You Listening To, What's the Last Film You've Seen, etc. and then just not have a post count for that forum.

sorry for 'this or that' thread it sucked
well.. as for now playing thread I think it's not that bad as many users post in it and if that's spam, I dunno what normal posting is. I mean, Fill and rest, do you really think all your posts are reeeeeeally 100% on topic and constructive? thought so.

Everytime I see something like 'This or That' or 'What Movie Are You Watching?", that's when I tune out.
I haven't even looked in General Entertainment in months, much less posted in it.
Stuff like that is touch and go: some people love it and others despise it. I don't think it's all that harmful as long as it doesn't eat up the database.
Though I have noticed that it's becoming pretty lax around here. Stuff that's never been tolerated before are now. In one way, that's good, because it makes the place seem more open. But in another, it kinda makes it look a bit like one of those circus forums. I was one who liked GG for its strictness and because every one here seemed to have their own distinctive personality. Seems to me like that's kinda faded away now but then what do I know when I've barely been here in the past few months...... :D

Things seem no different to myself.
Its funny though 'cos the same people who complain about spam end up being the first to complain when one of their innane little posts disapear.
Its a lose/lose situation ,you can't please all of the people all of the time.

the place is fine.. the forums are busy...
proper spam is deleted and threads are pretty much on topic...
sure there are some threads we dont all like, but then we dont have to look in them after we have decided we dont like them...
unless youre a mod and its your domain... :thumb:

So, unhappy with the level of spam, Scar?

So, unhappy with the level of spam, Scar?
now this post is spam.. a complete and utter wind up attempt that will be replied to with more sarcasm after scar replies....
then as soon as that happens, a warning will be given to keep it on topic, and then if warning is not heeded, then il either delete the posts or close the topic...
see... the system works... :D
Would you rather I shout my arse off with calls of "You bloody hypocrite!" ?
