Why has a recent one about the NHL been put in there? He asked why the NHL wasn't on TV - a valid question.

Someone could have answered its because the Collective Barganing Agreement between the League and the Players' Union has expired. Consequently they have been locked in bitter talks renegotiating the terms.

The question was painfuly vauge ,he didnt bother to mention what countries television he was talking about ,he has a total of 2 post , I figured the chances of him becoming a full time contributing member were low ,the whole thing wreaked of being pointless.

I stick by my original thoughts but I shall restore it as obviously its a matter that is going to the subject of intense discussion.

That last bit was sarcasm ,I will be very suprised if the thread does anything other that sink into obscurity.

But whatever. :)

Scarface, my friend: Just because hockey is a North American thing and 80% of active people here are European does not make it irrelevant.

It's like if someone started a rugby thread in a Canadian forum and it got removed. (What the hell is rugby anyways?)

I never said Hockey was irelevant.

I don't mind watching it ,and have re read my post and struggle to see where I might have implied that it is irlevant.

But when some one creates a thread that says 'Why isn't the hockey on TV?' ... the very vaugeness of the question made me think it was just some half brained nOOb with nothing interesting to say making pointless threads.

Rightly or wrongly I acted on it.

I've got this great mpg where these two hockey dudes belt the crap out of each other for about 2 minutes while the referees circle around them getting the best veiw of the house.

Thats the only thing that gets me excited about hockey ,but anyhoo this thread was created with the intention of restoring a hockey thread ,which was done ,so we can all discuss the merits of IH in there ... yay :)
