From a bunny who entered the game all misty eyed and full of wonder only to be bubba'd when the lights went out.
ie: it's not in the current FAQ and the clock is on:-
1) what ship attribute/s affect the amount of energy scooped per trade route used?
2) how do you add to fighters/mines in a sector?
3) can you tell if there exists warp links in to a given sector?
4) will an Emergency Warp Device always kick in (accounting for the 5% chaos factor) if attacked?
5) can a player who moves from one sector to another be tracked?
Please add a question/answer or the bunny gets it.

Well well.. these are good questions my replys are as follows
Point 1:
This attribute is the ships POWER attribute.. the more level it is at.. the more energy u can store.. and also u need to have a "fuel scoop" for scooping energy when u real space
Point 2
You can add fighters & mines in a sector.. see the Devices Menu on the left hand side.. and in that u have to select the "Mines" or "Fighters". then it asks u how many fighters & mines u wanna deploy..
REMEMBER: do not try to deploy fighters and mines in a sector which is owned by some one.. or else u will have the owner hunting for u and u mayget killed once u are found..
Point 3
Yes when u are in a sector there are more links to the adjoining sector.. these are the warp links.. u can find the warp links from a sector to other sector in the bottom left hand side of the main menu
Point 4
Yes! it always comes in.. so to ensure ur survival in this blacknova universe.. make sure u have a modest supply of these EWD's
Point 5
No! sorry u cant track that.. once a player is out of a sector then u cant know where he is gone.. he may be using a warp.. and if he uses a warp then u can guess that he is in the adjoining sectors..
and if he uses a real space then u cant guess where he has gone in the 2999 sectors of the BN Universe :D
Hope this answers all ur queries
May the force be with you

1) what ship attribute/s affects the amount of energy scooped per trade-route used?
This attribute is the ships POWER attribute.. the more level it is at.. the more energy u can store.. and also u need to have a "fuel scoop" for scooping energy when u real spaceOnly one thing wrong with this answer... Power only affects the MAXIMUM Energy storage capacity on your ship, NOT the individual amounts scooped on a realspace hop. As far as I can tell from experimentation and experience, no ship attribute affects the amount you scoop, IF you have the capacity to store it all. The only thing that seems to affect it is realspace distance, which seems to be randomly set when the universe is generated. It does not change, so a hop from sector 1 to sector 0 will always net you 100 energy, but there is definitely a randomness involved, since a hop from sector 1 to sector 2xxx only scoops 4400 energy, while a hop only 10 sectors apart can generate 22,000+ energy. It would seem each sector has hidden x/y/z coordinates in realspace, which are used to determine the distance, and amount of fuel scooped.
3) can you tell if there exists warp links in to a given sector?
Yes when u are in a sector there are more links to the adjoining sector.. these are the warp links.. u can find the warp links from a sector to other sector in the bottom left hand side of the main menuUnfortunately I believe you misunderstood the question. The answer I'd give is "No, you cannot tell if there are 1000 warp links pointing INTO your sector, only what ones point OUT."

Helimar.. that was a good one.. thanks any ways for clearing my errors..

Helimar was right re: wanting to know about links in to a sector. Thanks for the replies to the questions... here's some more:-
1) If you log-out on a planet, and that planet is attacked and destroyed, is your ship also destroyed? If so - wouldn't it be safer to sit in orbit and let the Emergency Warp device kick in?
2) What's the algorithm for time/cash variation affecting your score?
And a suggestion:
Can we have a log for Alliance activity? And if anonymity is a concern mayhap a 'stealth' check can be made for any given attack (cloak v sensor?) so that if the attacker passes the check the attack is attributed to their Alliance and not themselves specifically.

Well well here are my answers
POINT 1: if u have logged out on planet and if some one attacks it..then the planet defenses attack first and then ur ship attacks him.. and remember all ur fighters take part in the action.. so if the attacker is not that capable he may get destroyed in that..
POINT 2: well i am not aware of this algo.. yet all i know is that
if u have set the credits ratio to 50% (this ratio is calculated as (100 - total of all the ratios on ur planet) and ur planet has 100 million colonists.. then u get 750,000 credits per system turn
SUGGESTION:
Well i think trade is already working on it..
