Sector Defenses

That other topic was getting out of control, so I'm starting a new one about sector defenses.

Trade, I like your idea about tech level x number of planets. Combine that with my idea, and make it so that the limit of boxes is the number of planets you have. I think that would be the best solution.

Buying sectors doesn't sound reasonable to me. You could charge any amount of money and I could afford it, but then again, newbies would see that number and be like "Damn I'll never get that, I quit".

Also, if you select to only allow you and your allies to have sector defenses in your sector, it is a BUG if other people can still put their defenses there. If it wasn't a bug, they wouldn't have an option for "only you and your allies".

I think,although I dont fully understand it,the sector defenses idea sounds good.Obviously that bug needs fixing first.:)

I also agree about not being able to buy sector defences as this would take some of the fun from the game.:)

Talking about new idea's,I suggested one to trade yesterday and he thought it was a good idea.My suggestion was to add something to the log so if you had a corporate planet that you could track who,what and how much your allies remove from your corporate planet/s.I have seen certain alliance planets being drained dry by somebody and it's not fair IMO.So with the ability to track people who strip corporate planets of resources we can put a stop to this,and the people who do this can be thrown out of the alliance.:)

I agree with that completely. I think the log in general needs to be more informative. I would like it for example to say when you attack someone, what % of their ship gets destroyed and what % of your ship got destroyed.

I agree about the corporate planet transfer being in the log. I recently joined a new alliance and I thought people could be trusted in the alliance, the first day someone went to my planet and took all the money I had saved up for a long time it was over a billion credits. Please try to understand that to a newbie like myself that is a lot. The leader tells me he can't find out who did it and now I am just out the money. Start over again I guess :( If the log had a feature to log planet transfers and possibly even who entered your sector then I would not have this problem right now.:mad:

If you are the person who took it and you honestly thought <as I am told recently> that if a planet was corporate the money was for anyone, please contact me or Pearman so I can get my credits back. Thanks
