I've seen it, it's drawn beautifully! But I can't quite remember the storie anymore...Nkow it's weird though :D:D:D

You gotta see this one (well, you gotta ave seen it about a year ago actually :D)

I hope you didn't pay too much for it! Is it on DVD from the USA or somewhere else? Or is it on video or whatever?

You know, I NEVER understood that film, even when I first watched it (Ithink I was about 8 or summat! :D ), but it's got the kinda convoluted plot I'd like MY film to have! :D:upto:

I bought it on dvd I was lucky i got one of the silver tin editions!!
Theres only 1,000 made for europe!!!:D

I've just ordered Akira online at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com) (US site) - it's the 2-disc special edition, but not the version in the tin.

Great price, too..... should have been $40, available for $30 - which was nice.... :D

It is a twisted storyline, but that will be Manga for you. Gotta have the sick/wierd sense that they have to understand it, watch more Manga films DaTeL. It will soon start to make sense. Neo, u lucky git, i wanted one but the company ran out of them :( have to settle for the normal edition. Still same old movie though, which is good. BTW, it was the first Manga film i watched, cant get enuff of 'em.

It was my first aswell and not my last!!!
I was 7 when i saw akira when i was 8 i went and bought the guyver series and had 2 take it bak because and i quote
'its to violent for your age' well thats my parents 4 ya.:jestera:

I seen it and I give it 5/5

It about a member of a Streetracer Gang who was giving telekinetic powers and out to destroy Neo Tokyo and now the only one to stop him is the earier destroyer of Tokyo... Akira,whom everyone believe all life and enegry of the universe come from.

I forgot that kid name but scientist wanted to gain power(how can one achieve power)and understand Akira and the universe, so they use him as a guinea pig.
