Well hopefully, at the minute anyway it entails much more than a redesigned front page, like I said I won't go into detail much but it's going to be a long slog to get it all finished, not because i'm lazy but because there will be so much work going into it.

I have really lost track of this, my idea was to just have 1 style as 3 is more time consuming to maintain when you need to add things as you have to do it with all 3 not just 1. I had planned to move the board to a new database, retaining all the posts, forums and members but keeping the style that people voted for the most. I wanted to move because the current database is filled with that much crap now, it's difficult to get things done to it.

I'm still not 100% sure I can move the database without breaking anything, but I will try again at some point as we are behind on updates and new features which bothers me. :(

i'm not sure about vb but with other forums it was possible to install the forum fresh them update the mysql tables one by one in phpmyadmin

There is an automated system for VB called Impex, but I don't really know how it works or if it is dumbproof, I have 1 spare VB board but cannot create another database and another board to test it see....

Not me i'm afraid, I have tried to update the board but the server needs upgrading before I can, asked the big boss and he says it will cost but doesn't know how much. Also said he would let me know the cost but he never has....
