CHILD ABUSE CASE TAKES DRAMATIC TURN

A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to The England Football Team, whom the court agreed are not capable of beating anyone.

about as funny as a tumour....

now if it had been "granted custody to the kiwi/jock/taff national football team", then it would have been funny....

as it would have had an element of truth to it...

and all good comedy has an element of truth to it...

harsh reality, and all that...

The obvious difference being that those countries don't give a rats arse about their national football team, i'm not even sure if NZ has one, no one watches gezzer-ball down here. Where as england idolise their football team above all else, and have an unrealistic expectation of their abilities. Not to mention the fact that they invented the sport.

So you see when england play in the world cup it is the only oppurtunity for the rest of the world to take the piss, becasue they always get beaten (eventualy) and it's hilarious to see a nation go into mourning because their crap team got beat.

And until england win the world cup again (i.e never) then the england football team will continue to be the subject of footballing ridicule at world cup time.
