Since I've only really played World of Warcraft, I'll have to go with FlatOut 2.

I liked it but it isn't the best game I've played this year: "Shadow the Hedgehog."
It's not bad, it's just I can't think of any other game I've played this year that's terrible.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Ew.

Ooo this is gonna annoy folk but I have to say it's Oblivion TES. Yes it looks fantastic and yes it is indeed a huge game word but once you get past the shiny veneer of this game you find it has numerous bugs, bugs that should never have made it through QA. The game itself is tediously long made all the worst by the fact that almost every aspect of the quests is spoon fed to you. Character development is pointless since every creature / loot / reward is levelled according to your characters stats and finally the characters in the game are bland and unintresting. The only upside is that the PC version can rectify most of the games short comings but since I stopped playing it a month and a half ago I haven't found any reason to bother downloading the mods.
PS I have also played Driver PL but I expected that to be crap so it didn't dis-appoint, Oblivion did.

Why? I thought it was a great game...although a bit tedious at times especially that godforsaken jungle level. But I believed it to be a major improvement over the first game, which was awesome anyways IMO.
Worst game? Yeah I'd have to go with Driver: PL, don't know what led me to try it out (after the huge dissapointment that was Driver 3) but at least I rented it instead of buying it. $5 bucks pretty much wasted...meh.

Same now as it's ever been it's a big movie and the game spin-off will always do well with the kids and mothers.

Is this an official revival of this topic then, seems it was first created back in 2006.
Bioshock.
Slow, boring, about as scary as waking up, dull tiresome enemies that are so comically over done that it kills any sense of tension or fear that the game could have, crap interface, rubbish forced requirement that you need to switch between plasmid and regular weapons to progress. What were the chances that the one person on the planet that actually got the game to work without ANY issues would turn out to hate it?

What the? are you serious? You sir should not be playing games but if you find one more person that agrees with you then you can have a cookie!
Anyway, worst game I've played this year had to be Just Cause because of the story/plot which it sort of had somewhere and the repetitive missions structure. Its a game that has the graphics without the gameplay but had the potential to be something good.

Yeah I moved a bunch of gaming topics in here to fill it up and so we can have more gaming discussions.

Would also say Driver PL, to be honest the only good driver game was the very 1st one and the rest were very second rate, getting worse and worse as the series went on.

PC or Xbox? The forums seem to be choke full of folk with PCs of all spec that are having problems with the game.
My reasons for not liking the game were a tad over simplified as I didn't really want to go in to too much detail about the reasons but here's a post from the 2K forums that pretty much details alot of the reasons about why I found the game so dis-appointing.

Would getting it for the XBox have made the game any different, besides obviously worse graphics?

Well switching between weapons and plasmids is meant to be easier than using a keyboard/mouse combo... Its a brilliant game in it loopy...

Yeah, it's a great game. Not as good as The Orange Box but great nonetheless. The song at the end of Half-Life Portal is truely disturbing.

ok ok back to worst game played this year...
Flatout Ultimate Carnage: alright the game isn't all that bad but its very frustrating with the rubber-band like AI and the odd physics that sometimes means a tyre can get stuck on the rough of the car or an AI car gets stuck on th front of yours which basically means your out of the running for a top position because of the AI rubber-band racing...

Its out on the PS2, PC and Wii if you really wanted to know and you can get it at Play.com for £18 (not that anyone would) I hate this guy on GMTV in the mornings.

yeah, forgot your the all seeing eye...how silly of me to actually say something that has basis:rolleyes:
The Xbox has some functions of a pc and its rather odd how the PC will get a game and then the 360 will get the same game that day....which also points to the programming for both platforms the same and then you have PS3 versions of the game coming out 2 months laters....because its a totally different platform.

You're saying that the graphics are the same because the XBox is a PC in a box, I won't debate the fact that the XBox is a PC in a box I know it is but it's a 3 year old PC in a box so their is no way it has the graphical detail a modern PC has.
Not withstanding basic stuff like higher resolutions and a non capped FPS rate you can also consider much much higher levels of AA and AT and that's before we also consider the Dx10 effects that the XBox can't technically achieve because it's hardware is firmly rooted in Dx9.
So yes it's a good joke.

He's right you know.
That aside the 360 isn't the same to code for as the pc its just hell of a lot easier to code for and also is easier to port over where as from i've read coding for the ps3 is liking ice skating in hell.
