Alright people I have a question.

As its been a while since i have pre-ordered anything online, i wanted to know if anyone (Brits mainly) who has pre-ordered a game from play.com knows if the game gets delivered on the day of release or does it normally get delayed?

I know play can be a bit dodgy some times, so i ordered it anyway but will cancel my order if the feedback is not good.

I've paid for games on Play.com after release and never had a problem but I've never actually pre-ordered anything because, like you I don't know if it comes on the morning of release day or not.

I have however pre-ordered with www.game.co.uk a few times and each time the games have come through the post just before 9am on the same day as it's released. Good service, same prices as play.com 99% of the time and I get my double reward points.

GAME are expensive though, Play.com usually get the games there for Friday but sometimes it'll be on the Saturday.
I used them alot until I found cheapier sites though they don't always get there for Friday (XB360/PS3 games for £29.99 who's gonna moan)

I generally get my stuff on the day, or the day after. But I blame my ****ty local postal service for that.

I've never bought anything big from play.com like a TV or PS3... Don't even know how they handle things like that altho I'm sure I've asked here before. I might be buying me a new PS3 from play.com along with a new and better HDTV to go with it.

I wouldn't by any electronic equipment, I have read some reviews when i was looking for the best price for my 360 and play was a big no no.

When it comes to DVD/games they have been reliable, but as i said i was a bit dubious about pre-ordering. Im happy with what you guys have said they can take my money this time, but they only get one chance ;)
