Trouble at GameSpot

By now many of you may have heard that GameSpot editor-in-chief Jeff Gerstmann has been sacked – allegedly because of pressure from Eidos over his negative Kane & Lynch review, the video version of which has mysteriously disappeared.

Gerstmann is unable to comment directly for unspecified "legal reasons" and GameSpot has denied the claim.

The exact reasons for his departure are not yet known.

Gamespot say its not pressure from Eidos but either way I don't care but it seems the gamespot kids (mostly american) do because some have cancled there yearly subscription to the site to try and make some sort of statment.

BTW: For people who didn't already know the GS forum is full of dumb a$$ kids, americans and (oh I hate this word... "fanboys" Dont ever go there...

I sure this sort of stuff happens all the time with review sites it's only natural, don't really listen to reviews myself if a game looks interesting I'll play it myself and then decide.

And as you said, reviews can be unbelievable when it comes to stating the obvious.
