Recommend me some PC games please.

Some of the newest games I probably can't run but anything 1 or more years old is likely ok. I was looking forward to playing Assassin's Creed but after looking at the specs I see I don't qualify. :(

I will play virtually anything in terms of genre.

But generally I like things with a good storyline, good gameplay. No multiplayer online games please. No need to mention Warcraft.

Oh yeah it is.... a possible alternative to that would be the Total War series. Kind of has the same city management, move the units round the map interface that Civ4 has (albeit in a much more cut down way) but it also has the 3D real time battles instead of the maths based who has the higher value of defence vs attack fights that Civ4 uses.
