GTA 4 Map leaked?

Earlier today maxconsole.net ran a story claiming that the map from gta 4 might have been leaked then later today received a letter from take two lawyers demanding the removal of the pictures:

judging buy the reaction from Take Two i looks like it could be the real thing anyway here's the link for the pic:

look pretty huge to me roll on the end of next month.

It will have to more than huge, san andreas was huge, i'm expecting GTA4 to be positively gargantuan.

Still, it's going to years before I will get to play it, as I am not paying the ridiculous amount of money Sony are asking for their "Blu-Ray Player (that also plays games)".

The map does look quite big, my understanding was that this was meant to be GTA3 made to look next gen but that map is significantly bigger than that of GTA3. mind you from the images and videos I've seen alot of GTA3s sites are there so I guess the original map is in there somewhere.

Regardless, San Andreas was a continent. This is bigger and only a city. You see what I mean, surely.
I mean, new York is a city but there's some sort of island-y bit to it ain't there?

I think Manhattan is technically a city in its own right but comes under the jurisdiction (or something) of New York, but don't quote me on that.

And liberty city is only based on New York, it's not supposed to be the same.

San Andreas was a contenint?

I would have thought San Andreas was based around the state of California.

Los Santos = Los Angeles
San Feirro=San Franscisco
Las Venturas=Los Vegas.

Anyway, i think your logic is flawed, the map gives no idea of scale, by your definition I could hold a subway map up against a tiny globe of the word and thus conclude that the city that map represents is bigger than the earth.

It's all about scale darling.

Yes you are right there but if its about the same scale as the maps that come with the other games then that does look all good personally i don't think it was the size of San Andreas that did for it merely the areas with nothing in them.
