Its not just ASDA either, seen other threads with images of receipts from Morrison stores.

I went to my local Morrison store and couldn't trick the monkey into the stock room to sell me copy. Seems she knew and when I phoned ASDA they said Monday midnight. hmm might have to try Tesco and Sainsburys next.

Nothing wrong with that. At one point in my life, I lived to see the release date of the next Harry Potter book. This was just when book four came out and it took a little more than a year for the next one to come out...

I just wanted to see if I could get a copy early myself. The Sainsburys store only received 15 copies of GTAIV on the PS3 apparently. Why bother with such a small amount.

Monday midnight, 5 min walk to ASDA and back, easy enough.

That's the problem with a Worldwide release, espiecally something as big as GTA4. The same gonna happen with MGS4 aswell.

I've got both the 360 and ps3 versions coming due to an ordering cock up :happysad:

^ yea right you wanted both versions lol.... actually a guy me a mate know does this with every game he gets and sells the version he doesn't want to one of us.
He really is a strange guy, he's in his late 30's and his g/f is in her early 50's (and thats being nice!)

Went to my local ASDA for about 11:30 last night. They were selling 20 copies of each version. A guy who works there went round tallying up who wanted what and then said "anyone past this point will not be able to receive a copy of GTA tonight" and I was one of them.

However they sold the rest of stock this morning at 8am! I was 6th in line at just gone 7am and about 20 other people turned up after that. Amazing game so far! £37.00 for Xbox360 version and £40 on the PS3. (I got the 360 version)

No I didn't stay in ASDA all night, I took the 5min's walk back home to sleep:thumb:
