I have installed a mod that will require a registered member to make 15 posts before being able to include links in their signature.
This is to stop the ongoing problem of spammers relying on sig links to promote their crappy products.
This is also in line with the current mod that doesnt allow members to put links in posts until the have made 15 posts.
I havnt actualy tested this, so if anyone wants to create a new account and test it out I would be grateful (and I will pay 500 credits :))
Otherwise we will just wait and see what happens.

I'll test it. Check back for results. But keep the credits.
Edit: Ok there might be a problem here as I cannot activate my new account, when I get this email and it tells me
To complete your registration, please visit this URL:
http://www.gamers-gateway.com/vb/register.php?a=act&u=34427&i=42163221
I get this error:
We could not activate your account because this web address is not valid. Make sure that you have the entire address from the email, and that your email client has not split the address over several lines.
Please try again with the full address from the email that you received. If it still does not work, try filling in the activation form:
Activation form
If you do not know your activation code, you can find it in the email that was sent to you when you first registered. To have it sent again, please click here:
Send new email with activation code.
If all else fails, email the administrator, making sure that you include your registered email address and username.
And then when I try method #2, that is
**** Does The Above URL Not Work? ****
If the above URL does not work, please use your Web browser to go to:
http://www.gamers-gateway.com/vb/register.php?a=ver
Please be sure not to add extra spaces. You will need to type in your username and activation number on the page that appears when you visit the URL.
and then fill in the username and activation code, I get the same error as above.
This is potentially a real problem if new users can't activate their accounts, maybe someone else can give it a go and test if the same thing is going on for them.
