Wow, what a month it has been, June of 2008 has probably seen the most changes ever at Gamers Gateway. This month we have seem an affiliation program started, the splash page updated, Quizzes added, the lottery added, a new style added, and more mods than you can shake a stick at incorporated.

But today I am pleased to announce the jewel in the crown, we now have our very own cheat site, www.cheats2k.net. Jeremy has given us this site and adam has worked tirelessly to get it up-to-date and working properly. There are a few more things to do on it, for instance the site will be integrated into the GG database meaning anyone who is a member of the site is also a member of the forum and anyone who registers on C2K will also be a member of GG.

C2K gets a lot of unique visitors everyday looking for cheats and when they do access the site they will see links to GG threads and links to the forum, as well as our Logo (not yet implemented).

Despite my best efforts over the last 3 months GG has been dying a slow death, without this new initiative I believe GG will be no more within 2 years. So if you want your forum to be around another 8 years, show your support and get involved in C2K any way you can.

Looks great.

But why do you think we're dying?

Lack of new members mainly.

The stats say it all, page veiws are down, unique visitors are down, referrals are down.

Only a year ago we would have hundreds of guests online at any one time, now we are lucky to have 50.

Much of it has to do with the fact that cheatmasters used to point to here as its forum, once CM got its own forum, we lost all that traffic, thast why we are trying to regain some of that traffic with our own dedicated cheat site.

Do guests really matter that much if our core of posters stays the same?

Well once guests register they become members, no guests, no members.

But over all its a pretty good indicator of the health of a forum

But if no one is leaving either, then what does it matter if no one is joining?

Easy, growth.

If things dont grow they die.

And people do leave.

If it seriously came to that then I'd seriously consider buying it to keep it up, and I don't think I'd be the only one. We have a good core of loyal members.
