One day, I was really itching to play some Dungeons & Dragons. As it turned out, the latest "edition", 4.0, was released days before my craving. Coincidence? Maybe not.

Does anybody else play this, or some like-minded tabletop dice game?
Also, would anybody be interested in starting an online game, maybe?

Is it something worth learning? And worth being mocked for? :)

Meh, maybe. It depends on who's your Dungeon Master (DM).

I'd like to think I'd make a good DM, Brummie accent notwithstanding.
Also let's not think about my terrible speaking skills or utter failure with regards to spontaneous storytelling.

Besides, as an unpopular overweight World of Warcraft player who happens to like Star Trek (Though I don't go as far as crafting regalia, attending conventions or learning Klingon), I think I have enough stigmas attached to me already.

I need to think of another one to match your post.

I roll a 17 and stab you with my dagger+3 take 1-4(+3) HP damage!

How would you play online?

You know there are games like Neverwinter Knights that use the ADnD rules, and modules can be created by a DM and uploaded so that a group can play. And it has all the standard character classes , fighter, theif magic user etc, as well as the ADnD sub classes like barbarian, illusionist etc.
