Downloading big files

I've tried to download the same file that's 12.1 megabytes in size and it's cut off 3 times!:mad: :mad: :mad: It wouldn't be so bad if it cut off near the start but it didn't! It first cut off when there was about 15 mins to go, then it cut off when there was about 5 mins to go, and just a minute ago it cut off when there was about 15 mins to go again! Another annoying thing is that I can't think of any reason it should have cut off because I was still connected to the internet, the download just stopped as if it had finished. All I can say is that it better finish properly this time. :(

Very odd indead, mabey there was server problems at the other end, the most I've downloaded in one go is 200 meg.

lee why don't u just get "get right" I think thats the name of it, I used to have it but found that it crashed a lot, the demo version did anyway, it resumes downloads if you get disconnected.

OR you could just not download them in the first place.:D Unless there extremely important and the world depends on them I wouldn't bother it.

Why don't you just use something like Gozilla or something like that anyway, most download managers will let you resume a download:king:

Now, I've been away the last few days and I've got to get a few things straight.
Firstly, I've got a program that enables me to play N64 games on my PC.
Secondly, I was downloading Mariokart for the N64. (It's all in code which is why the file size is so low, Mario 64 was 8 megabytes!)
Thirdly, I have already got a download manager (I installed it after 3 attempts) but it doesn't let you download this game with it! :cry: (It all seems kinda dodgy because it's a button you press to download it, not a link, when I try to download it, it comes up with internet explorer's download thingy)
Fourthly, It is illegal if you download a game that you do not have a copy of your own. If you own the original cartridge, it's OK.
Remember: It wasn't a PC game which is why the file size was so low.

BTW, I was not crying on the sofa :D

not going off the subject like everybody else but use a download manager like download accelerator it will automatically resume broken downloads.
