Right, you lot in this forum :wtf: you will help me.

I want to like all three next-gen consoles... XBox, PS2 and Gamecube... but at the moment i've not seen anything that has convinced me to be that interested in the Gamecube... and I want you lot, to fix it :D

The only game that i've seen that impresses me so far is Luigi's mansion - best lighting effects i've ever seen in a game by far!

I've been making an effort over the last few days to find more Gamecube stuff that interests me, but have failed  Although finding out a Mario Kart (working title) game is being made did make my ears ***** up a little :wtf:

Here's the thing. I'm not into cheesy stuff like Super Mario Brothers... Zelda... Perfect Dark... :wtf: So Nintendo fans... impress me, please

well im not a big resident **** fan, either :wtf: too repetitive :wtf:

just found a couple more interesting games listed on the official gamecube site (which isnt a very nice site, may i add).

Wave Race: Blue Storm - i know it was one of the first games revealed, but i lost interest and forgot about pretty much everything Gamecube related!

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader - not a fan of Star Wars, but saw this game on ThumbBandits a week or two back - looked bloody good.

Burnout is good on the PS2, so that'll be pretty good - then there's obviously the best footy game ever, ISS2 :wtf:

And finally, Virtua Striker 2002 might interest me when i learn more about it - the screenshots look pretty good, but obviously it wont be able to touch ISS2 :wtf: and even still, i'd prefer to play ISS games on ma PS2 anyway.

There's always the sonic games that do appear to be gamecube only, then there's the very promising GBA linkup feature, the new kirby game should be great with that (fall off the gamecube screen and then play on the GBA!).

There is always the size of the GC... 11.5cm x 15cm x 16cm...

And the controller is very comfortable :wtf: -- better than the XBox :p

Perfect Dark? Zelda? CHEESY?!

Anyway, I have had the privelige of playing two GameCube games, both are absolutely amazing.

Luigi's Mansion: Beautiful lighting, addictive gameplay, and the all important 'Maaaaario call when you press A!

Super Smash Bros. Melee: I don't care what you said about Mario or Zelda, THIS is the beat-em-up to end all beat-em-ups. Fast, action packed, addictive, so much to do, so many characters, and the bonus of smashing Pikachu's ugly litle face in!

For both games the joypad is perfect, it 'melts in your hands' as NGC magazine claimed, and there are many games in the future that will make the console worth getting.

Did anyone say Starfox Adventures?

Wouldn't that hurt a little...:upto:

If you're the "invite three other's over and have a console playing fest" type, I recommend Super Smash Bros. (no one can resist pummeling Jigglypuff to a pulp) or Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (Although I'm not sure when it will be coming out, or for that matter, at all).

and there's always Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee when it's release...:jestera:

The price of it is very good for starters, and no need for a multi-tap to have big multi-player games, so now all you gotta do is find some friends and you an take full advantage of this, shame it doesnt have DVD capabilities but whats the big deal about that? if you already own a PS2 which most people do, you get DVD on that, im definately gonna get myself a GameCube at xmas time. :D

The thing that convinced me to get the GameCube was the fact that it didn't have a DVD player.

Both Sony and Microsoft wanted to create a multi-purpose home entertainment machine. Nintendo are sticking to their roots and creating a pure gaming machine. This doesn't only mean that Nintendo will be totally focused on their games, but that the exclusion of a DVD player means a cheaper console.

Most people today have a DVD player one way or another, why do we need another?

Because if you have a console that plays DVD you don't need a DVD player that's why... and you have more room ...:D

I must admit there isnt' much of interest at the mo on the Cube apart from Resi and Godzilla....:D But I'll get it just for them..

But I've already got three of the things, and most people have at least one nowherdays, even if it is on their computer. Why should people who already have a DVD player be forced to shell out on another one?

People who don't, of course, have the option of getting an XBox or PS2, but it would actually be cheaper to get a GameCube AND a DVD player together than to get a standalone XBox. And the PS2... well... I'll just leave it there.

And Rev, what about Squaresoft and the possibility (almost certainty!) of FF on GameCube as well as GBA? The Sonic games? Phantasy Star Online v2? Rogue Leader? Smash Bros Melee? Zelda??

The list of quality games on the 'Cube is almost endless.

While the Final Fantasy Game on the Gamecube holds a little interested it's based on the New Anime which has Bombed in the USA/Japan so I won't hold my breath. But you never know:D

and I'm not gonna comment on Sonic. I would have said Turok 4 as well but now it's finally gone Multi-platform like it should have so long ago...:D

Doesn't help there's only about 3 RPG's planned...:p
