Hey what do you think?

I think we should get the new VB upgrade.

I think it is VB 3.3 or something like that.

Ours is old.

It would be cooler if we got a new one.

So what do you think?

Actually VB 3 is not out yet, it will be soon and I will be upgrading to that version when it does.:)

The default style has been changed to one of the others because well, frankly it's better than the others.:D

i'd upgrade to the newest 2.2.5 but im a lazy ****... hmm, maybe i otta get to doing it, nem, is the stars hack for ur's the same as the older one?

If you upgrade to 2.2.5 the only thing you will have to do to have the stars hack again is hack the files on the server, the templates wont need hacking.If you have the stars install script on your server just run that again and choose upgrade.:)

The benefits would be that the forum would run faster, look better, and have more nifty features to try out. :)

But I've heard that vB3 is a lot like a portal...Do we want that?

Jelsoft's been very confidential about vB3, so there's not much information on what new features will be coming. Maybe some stuff like new smileys, more information in your profile, an ability to make your own color scheme...Those are just guesses, I have no clue what vB3 will have to offer us. :)

I once saw a forum with a portal (not posting links, as its advertising :wtf:) and it was the most annoying thing i have ever seen in my life. :mad: I think that we should maybe test out vB3 first and then have a decision afterwards to see what people prefer but think vB3 will be great, well anticipated....:p

I have seen a screenshot of the VB3 which was posted on vbulletin.com, looks good to me.:king:

The portal thing is only a rumor, but you never know. :)

If it was one of the screenshots I saw, they only showed a portion of the main forum page. Have they released a lot of screenshots?

Well there were rumors about making vB3 more like a portal, like phpNuke ( http://www.phpnuke.org ). You know what a portal is, right? It's kind of a "window" to the internet with links to different categories, news, searches, etc...Kindof like Yahoo, Lycos, or Excite. :)

Im not accusing you of anything, just giving you a possible answer to your query, the mods/admins may have considered some of your posts as un-necessary and deleted them, or the posts could have been part of some topics which were deleted recently. :p
