Please *do not* close this thread.
I have a real critism here, and want to discuss it properly, without "someone" closing it.
As far as I can see, a super moderator is a moderator with permission to moderate all forums.
Two points.
1)If the moderators are trusted enough, super mods are not nessacry.
2)A supermod should *not* be held above a mod, because that is all they are. They are not equal to an Admin, and so should behave like a mod.
A mod should behave in a mature, sensible way. Not use his/her powers to help win arguements, or close topics when they feel like it.
If anyone has ever been on IRC chat, you'll notice that the Op's in a room equate to an Admin, Half Ops are like mods. Notice the lack of a three quarter Op. Now, Ops and Half Ops, do not always stay in that state. An Op which is actually in Op has an @ next to his name, and a half op has a %. Ops de-op unless they need it. H-Ops de-halhop unless they need it.
See any points I'm trying to draw here?
So, if supermods must exist, lets see them using their power *less* in forums that they do not have their name against.
