do you need the ar2 v2 use use x-port v2.are either of them available in ireland.

No,you can use any version of AR2 with X-port 2.:)

I can confirm that. I got a brand-new X-Port v2 last Friday free from Datel (it's my prize from PSi-2), and everything works fine with my AR2 v1.4

i got AR 1.3, how can i find out if it will work on that.

Only way to find out is to try it,if you have the original x-port disks you can download the x-port v2 free from codejunkies.com
