View Full Version : What radio stations do you listen to?
I listen to Atlantic 252 on long wave, I don't listen to radio one and gemini because overall, they are crap, the only time I do is on the way to school.

Totalrock on the internet + Sky Digital and a few local radio stations which are quite crap but I could think of worse things to listen too. ('UK Garage' + country western)

I listen to 95.8 Capital FM, BBC Radio 1 (97-99FM), Virgin Radio (105.8FM [London]/1215MW [all UK]) for music, but I also listen quite a bit to BBC Radio 4 (92-95FM/198LW) for the excellent radio shows like Dead Ringers.

Jeepers! I thought I would be the only one here who listened to BBC Radio 4. It's an amazingly diverse station - it almost literally caters for all tastes. I start my (working) day with Today - Radio 4's flagship news/current affairs programme.
Semi-interesting fact: Radio 4 has the largest budget of any radio station in the world.
I used to listen to BBC Radio 1, but I find it really boring. Commercial stations are, for me, a massive pain in the ass so I avoid them at all costs.
Just what is this 'Radio' doohickey? :head:

I try very hard not to listen to any radio broadcasts these days, but as we have Radio 1 blasting out in excess of 100 dB from trashy speakers at work, I have little choice.
Any of you ever had to endure a complete Sarah Cox show?? I thought not.
I really believe a medal should be awarded to me for what I have to put up with - blimey, we had our share of crap in the eighties, but at least it was classy crap not the real cack churned out by the talentless brain washers of today.
"We say it's good, so buy it."
And tell me this......why is it on T.V. apearances, this category of entertainer feels the need to have a bloke standing behind a couple of Technics SL1210 turntables - which aren't wired up - pretending to do something incomprehensible with a couple of records? Wot a plonka!! (spoze he gets paid more than I do... )
I remember the days of Radio Luxembourg, I used to leave the radio on all night. Bet AW remembers that as well..........
Steve Wright in the afternoon on Radio 2 is O.K. as well. A mix of oldies and the less obnoxious of current pop.

I listen to Southern "advert" FM and radio 1.
