Hi there,
I have a big problem : I have a new version of the Action Replay2 and I don't manage to re-format the PS2 Action Replay's Memory Card. When I press L1,L2,R2,R1,select & start buttons at the opening screen, absolutely nothing happens !!!!!
I was wondering why that doesn' work because Datel told me to do this.
I really don't know what to do so if anybody has an idee, he'll be the welcome !!!
Thanks
P.S. : Sorry for my poor English :-)

1. I'm moving this to PS2 Discussion.....
2. Any answers? I've never had to reset my AR2 to its factory settings, and I'm not going to try now - too much hard work, typing those codes again.

Yeah, I've had to reset my AR2 to factory settings, when using the keyboard bug**d it up.
You have to press the buttons mentioned above and keep them pressed. I found that by doing it as soon as the PlayStation 2 screen had gone and keeping them pressed (for what seems like ages) and eventually you should get a message asking if you want to reset etc. However, of course, if you do this then you lose any codes you've entered yourself.

My Action Replay is driving me mad !!!!!
Maybe someone could give me more details about the things I have to do to re-format its Memory Card. In fact I don't know in which screen I have to press the buttons and how long I have to press them.
I hope somebody hears my S.O.S.
Thanks

I'm sorry if I offended you(nic6958) but yesterday I pressed the keys during at least 30 minutes and nothing happened. Perhaps is the action replay's memory card that has a problem : while I was pressing the buttons, an AR screen appeared and told me that the memory card had not been detected. I just want to know if it is normal ?
thanks

If it is saying that the cartridge is not detected, then all you can try and do is take it out and put it in again. This may work - this happened to me a few times when I was having problems and it usually recognised it after I had done this. Then once it is recognising that all the hardware is there, reset the PS2, wait for the PS2 screen to go and do the button thingy then (you should only need to press all the buttons for about 20 seconds or so).
However, if your machine still does not recognise the fact that the cartridge is there, then I suggest you take it back to where you bought it from and ask for a replacement. A friend of mine recently bought the AR v2 and it did not recognise the cartridge at all. He took it back and got another one, and now has no problems at all.
Hope this helps.

I did as you told me to do and it didn't work so I guess I'm gonna send it back to where I bought it.
Thanks for your advices.
