Donations

A donations system is being set up.

For a couple of years now I have flirted with the idea of offering subscriptions, basically a member would pay x amount of dollars and be a subscriber for x amount of time, allowing them features that would not otherwise be available to other members.

The problem being there is nothing we can really offer that people woudl really want to pay for, and the people who did, would be probably just be doing so to make a donation anyway and not really interested in any of the "extras".

So I guess the easiest thing is to make it less complicated and just give people the option if they so wish, to make a small donation to Gamers- Gateway, the money collected will be used for one thing and one thing only, contributing towards periodically updating the vB licence and maybe the odd skin and skin updates.

No one is under any obligation to donate anything, no one will be treated any differently regardless of their decision, this is purely for the people who wish to contribute.

It will be up and running as soon as I get the pay-pal side of things sorted.

There will be a new award for donors.

Theres no other way.

And you dont actually need to have a paypal account to donate.

We accept all major credit cards and internet banking transactions.

OK it all seems to be set up. Ive settled on 5 and 10 dollar donations if any one wants to do more than that they can let me know.

Yes i was in bed. The payments have to be manually approved once the funds appear int he account.

Well, I wish I could have donated a full 5 dollars, but I guess I'll settle for 4.50. Anyway, hope it helps somewhat.
